Police to studs: “Drugs drag you down”
Police officers from Police Station 3 of Basak, Mandaue City oriented the students of
Labogon National High School about the dangers of drug addiction during the symposium
with theme “Matibay na ugnayan ng mamamayan at pulisya simbolo ng kapayapaan at kaunlaran ng sambayanan.”
According to PSI Genilo Masbate Veraque, station commander, In order to achieve a healthy community, we must raise the awareness of each individual to avoid taking illegal drugs.
“Students of LNHS were participating, well-behaved and were willing to learn during the
symposium,” he added.
PO2 Janice Barillo, SPO3 Kerwin Bejer and PI Romulo Genandoy urged the students to listen to the speakers who talked about the station’s Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) and about drug abuse.
The activity concluded with a closing remarks delivered by Mr. Renato Suson, Barangay
Captain of Labogon.
“I learned a lot from this activity like the presence of WCPD and how harmful illegal drugs are. I salute the police for coming up with this program.”said Ralph Aquino, a participant in the symposium. (Jomabel Manigos)
