LNHS granted permit to operate Special Program for the Sports

After enduring a long process of compiling and submitting of requirements, the efforts of the LNHS administration has finally paid off. Regional director Mrs. Juliet Jeruta of DepEd Region 7 signed on September 16, 2016 the permit granting Labogon National High School the authority to establish and operate Special Program for Sports effective S.Y. 2016-2017.

Mr. Marzado, the principal, on his part cannot contain his joy upon hearing the news. Speaking with The Façade, Sir Kenn explained how this new development would help boost the capacity of the school to offer sports programs.

“As the school administrator, I am very much pleased with this new development. This means that more funding will come specially for the improvements of the school’s sports facilities. With the history of LNHS producing student athletes of great caliber, I can foresee that we will be home to more national champions in the future.”

According to DepEd Order No. 25, Series of 2015, the Special Program for Sports was conceived to address the needs of talented students in different sports disciplines. Graduates under SPS are envisioned to be more equipped for employment or higher learning in the field of sports and related areas. (Alfore)
